Patchwork Castle – Where memories are treasured forever *FREE GIVEAWAY*
A couple of years ago, Chris had the opportunity to leave a job in the civil service and set up her own business, allowing her to spend more time with her delicious kids. She took the bull by the horns and Patchwork Castle was born. As a FANTASTIC sewer, she saw a niche in the market and she made it her own.
You know all those cute clothes that your little one grew out of months (or even years) ago, but you just can’t bear to part with? Patchwork Castle takes them and makes them into something beautiful that you can keep and enjoy forever. Chris and her small select team (one of them being my talented sister) mainly create quilts and cushions, but can work creatively to any brief to make something as bespoke as you like. Everything is made with such care and quality, finding the special details in each garment and making the most of them. Creations can also be personalised with a name or a message – in fact they can be personalised in just about any way you like!
Quilts are backed in your choice of colour from 100% cotton and filled with 100% cotton wadding. Everything is hand-made from start to finish using skilled techniques and the quality shows. The final product is durable, machine washable and will last a lifetime.
Chris also specialises in creating beautiful memorial quilts for individuals who are sadly missing a loved one. These special projects are something that she sees as a great privilege. Her brilliant work has not gone unnoticed and she is currently working on a large wall hanging commisioned by Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Chapel, incorporating pieces from the many families they have cared for through difficult times.
