Bake Off, Bake Off, Bake Off

It’s here. The GREAT British Bake Off.

This year, myself and some suitably cake-geek-esq pals (including the brilliant Kezia Hall ) -have decided to celebrate the momentous BBC event with a weekly meet-up involving drinking wine, the telebox, much annoyance with Paul Hollywood and of course, CAKE. So far, so good. Though I have to say, I LOVED that sweet guy that left. He would have been FABULOUS TV (even if I can’t quite remember his name). He was like a teddy.

You can imagine Kezia’s bizarre offerings – she’s striking that awkward balance of loving cake but not eating any grains and virtually all other cake ingredients. It makes for an interesting eat. If your wondering how health gurus make cake (I am), check out Kezia’s brilliant blog – she’s experimenting with lots of healthy cake-like creations this Bake Off season! Well worth an oggle.

hatA BIG thank you to all who entered the brilliant Patchwork Castle giveaway. I genuinely wish everyone could win. All the names were put into a hat (an actual real hat) and the lucky reader is … Joni McArthur! Congratulations Joni!

This week on the log we shall of COURSE be making cakey creations in the kitchen, checking out amazing organic skin care by Skin Guru in powder room, discovering out more autumn trends on the fashion front, and a few other bits of whatever we fancy along the way!

Make cake not war.
